Drawing & Sample-Based Parts
Custom mechanical components produced from CAD files, drawings, or physical samples.
Submit Drawings or Sample DetailsInformation Accepted for Review
The initial review can use the technical evidence available for the part, including:
- 2D drawings and 3D CAD files
- Photos and measurements
- Existing part, worn part, or physical sample
- Interface, installation, and final-condition information
More complete information generally makes it easier to assess the part, but the suitable next step depends on the part geometry, material condition, interfaces, and intended use.
Drawing-Based Production
For drawing-based requirements, the available drawing or CAD model can be reviewed alongside material, tolerance, surface treatment, heat treatment, inspection, quantity, and application requirements. The review focuses on the information needed to determine a practical manufacturing and acceptance approach.
Sample-Based Reverse-Engineering Support
When a drawing or current CAD model is unavailable, a physical sample may provide useful dimensional, interface, and wear information for an initial assessment. Sample-based review supports the development of replacement-part information where the available sample and requirements are sufficient; it does not mean every part can be reproduced or that the original design intent can always be recovered.
Typical Requirements
This pathway may be relevant to prototype, pilot production, low-volume repeat orders, overflow production, replacement, and retrofit requirements for mechanical components used in industrial equipment and automation systems.
